Funeral services for Pamela Ann "Brandy" Mabou will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in the Live Oak Community Church in Alexandria with the Rev. Ken Satcher officiating. Committal services will follow in the Bradford Cemetery in Deville under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.Brandy, 59, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Saturday in the Rapides Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 23, 1950 to the union of John McCann and Joyce Howard Merrell in Oakland, California. She was a member of the Live Oak Community Church, a musician and a former singer in Las Vegas for many years before moving to Alexandria in the mid seventies. She also was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend.
Her father, John McCann and one brother, Christopher William Messer precedes her in death.
She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, her husband, Charley Mabou of Alexandria; two sons, Jerry Mabou of Alexandria and Chris Mabou of Ball; one daughter, Jessica Rachal of Alexandria; two step-daughters, Christina Maglothin of Alexandria and Crystal Mabou of Dry Prong; mother and step-father, Joyce and Chuck Merrell of Alexandria; one sister, Theresa Messer of California and six grandchildren, Taylor Mena, Ruben Vandyke, Jr., Trista Pearson, Desmond Rachal, Jerry Lee Mabou, Jr. and Christian DeRamus.
