AM Stir: Today is National No Pants Day; Kate Gosselin's makeover
Sure, it's chilly outside. But that shouldn't stop us from joining in today's National No Pants Day celebration.
No Pants Day is the brainchild of Improv Everywhere, the New York improvisational theater group that for the last few years has sent actors into subways, where they then lose their pants, take their seats and act as if everything is normal. (They are, of course, wearing something under those pants.)
It's one of a series of outrageous stunts Improv Everywhere has pulled off, just for grins. Among our favorites: They sent 80 people wearing blue polo shirts and khaki pants into a Best Buy store (that's the same uniform employees wear); they brought announcers, a Jumbotron and the Goodyear blimp to a California Little League baseball game; and they invited eight sets of identical twins to dress the same and sit across from each other on a subway, creating a "human mirror."

Joyce DeWitt was pulled over around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2009 on suspicion of DUI. The El Segundo Police officers were responsible for the arrest , with Sgt. Howard explaining, “An officer saw DeWitt drive a vehicle past a barricade intended to control vehicular traffic near a park. As the officer spoke with DeWitt, he observed signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication.”
As a biography, Joyce DeWitt was born on April 23, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia, so her age is 60. She graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree, and she later received her Master’s from UCLA.
Joyce became a household name as Janet Wood in “Three’s Company”, from 1976 until 1984. Alongside John Ritter and Suzanne Somers, Joyce had families laughing across America. However, after the television show ended, Joyce rarely returned to the screen. Her poor experiences with the show’s producers deterred her from continuing much more in the business, although she did produce “Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three’s Company”. Joyce continues to act, though, only this time on stage, appearing in numerous performances over the last several years.
Joyce is committed to the cause of hunger and homelessness. She has participated in the Capitol Hill Forum on Hunger and Homelessness, hosted presentations for the Family Assistance Program of Hollywood, and co-hosted the World Food Day Gala. She is also a part of the LIFE (Love is Feeding Everyone) organization. Another commitment of Joyce’s, that of always wearing pantyhose or tights on set, earned her the spokeswoman position for L’eggs in the 1970s.
