Yes that is it. The security guy and the flight attendant have teamed together to hijack the plane and claim 50 million dollars by framing Jodie Foster's character as the terrorist. The coffin has a bomb in it and that is why her husband is killed, to carry the bomb and to use her as the way to get the coffin on the plane relatively unchecked. The taking of the daughter is to drive the mother insane so that she is believable as a terrorist. The only thing is that she figures out where the daughter is and finds the bomb as well.

There was heartbreak in prime time tonight, as dozens of television networks — as well as many radio stations and Web sites — broadcast the “Hope For Haiti Now” telethon.
For two hours, A-list musicians ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Madonna performed songs of sorrow and inspiration in New York, Los Angeles and London studios. There were no standard show-biz introductions, no audiences to offer applause, and no commercials to break the mood.
“The Haitian people need our help,” said George Clooney , at the start of the show. “They need to know that they’re not alone. They need to know that we still care.”
The challenge, said Jon Stewart , is to “take the grief, and transform it into real and lasting hope for Haiti.”

I actually missed the phone call from Julia this morning. She must have called seconds after finishing up in the Rottweiler ring, and as luck would have it, I was in the shower and missed being the first to hear the biggest news of Axel’s young life. But, anyway!!

CH Precious Gems Axel vom Viersen!!!He finished his American Championship (pending AKC verification, of course) this morning at the Manatee Kennel Club’s show at the Florida Winter Classic I in Brooksville, FL. He went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a three-point major under judge Robert C. Thomas and handled by Julia Foster .
Julia has been so wonderful as a handler and surrogate “mom” to the sometimes overbearing and rambunctious Axel, and with her friendship and support to me as a first-time show dog mom. Axel’s breeder, Denise , has also been here with friendship and support throughout the whole process… from helping us pick the right puppy, with advice through his troublesome teenage times, and on the road to his championship.
Axel will be home at the end of the month. I can’t wait to pick him up in St. Louis! Meanwhile, enjoy a picture of him from the Chicago Christmas Cluster (click for a larger view)…
